Clare Nasir Biography
Clare Nasir is a British TV Presenter, author, and mostly known as a meteorologist currently working for 5 News on Channel 5. Moreover, she also does podcasts and is well known for her voice in Met Office Podcasts, and BBC Under the Weather podcast. Not only that but also known as a writer of the book What Does Rain Smell Like.
Clare Nasir 5 News
Nasir started as a full-time weather forecaster for Channel 5’s 5 News on October 31, 2016. Since 2016, Nasir has been hosting the Met Office’s online forecast briefings. Additionally, Nasir is the writer of various children’s books, including Colin the Cloud.
Since October 4, 2013, Nasir has been delivering weather forecasts for Look North for Yorkshire, Look North for Lincolnshire and Yorkshire, and BBC North West Tonight, the local news show by BBC North West.

In June 2012, Nasir substituted for Sian Welby on Channel 5’s ITN-produced 5 News, delivering weather forecasts while Welby was away.
Additionally, from November 20, 2010, to October 27, 2013, Nasir presented weather forecasts for the ITN-produced regional news show ITV News London on ITV London.
On August 1, 2010, the Daily Mirror reported Nasir’s departure from GMTV the following month to launch a workout DVD. Nasir’s final forecast for GMTV was on September 3, 2010, during the show’s closing.

Besides presenting the weather report on GMTV, Nasir has also hosted other shows such as “Interactive Wedding”, “Great Escapes”, and “Extreme Weather”, where she explored global weather pattern changes.
In 2001, Nasir was promoted to weather producer and anchor, taking charge of all climate-related programs and production on GMTV. The GMTV predictions include outside broadcasts, with one of the most well-known featuring Nasir reporting from the seaside in Bridlington.
During one such report, she was hit by wind and rain, and a massive wave engulfed her, pushing her off the frame. Despite this, she persevered, completing her report by speaking into the boom mic as she had misplaced her microphone bag.
When regular weather forecaster Andrea McLean went on maternity leave in 2000, Nasir filled in for her. This nevertheless led to a stable deal, with Nasir alternating roles with McLean after she got back.

Clare Nasir Met Office
After graduating from university, Nasir worked as a meteorologist for the Met Office and received training. After two years, she began working at the London Weather Centre of the Met Office, providing weather reports and slideshows to media and radio networks in London.
In 1997, Nasir took a job with Anglia Television as a broadcaster and forecaster. In 1998, she returned to London to use his skills for Carlton Tv.
