Woods’ journey in the sports media industry has been one of hard work and dedication. After graduating from university, she began her career at Sky Sports in 2009, starting as a runner and steadily climbing the ranks to become an editorial assistant and later an assistant producer, associate, and producer in the production department. Her passion for sports and determination to succeed opened doors for her, leading to presenting opportunities.
Her presenting career took off when she started conducting behind-the-scenes interviews on Sky Sports’ YouTube channel during darts coverage. This experience opened up new doors, and she landed a role on the Saturday morning kids’ show Game Changers. Her talent and enthusiasm for sports reporting became evident as she covered the NFL and joined the Soccer AM online presenting team, even reporting live from Euro 2016 in France on Facebook.
In 2018, She worked as a regular pitch-side presenter on Super Sunday, where she occasionally collaborated with Gary Neville. However, in 2022, she decided to leave her position at Sky Sports to explore new opportunities.
Woods’ versatility and expertise in sports broadcasting led her to work with other platforms. She joined DAZN, where she contributed to their boxing and Women’s Champions League coverage. Later, in July 2023, she made another career move and joined TNT Sports as the lead presenter for the UEFA Champions League and boxing events.

Additionally, Laura made her mark in the world of NFL coverage. In August 2022, she was announced as part of the team for ITV’s hour-long NFL highlights show, where she joined Osi Umenyiora and Jason Bell.
Apart from her work in sports broadcasting, Laura also had a significant role in the Talksport’s breakfast show. In March 2020, she was announced as the main presenter for Monday to Wednesday, and her engaging presence made her a popular choice. However, in June 2023, she announced her departure from the breakfast show, hosting her final show on 28th June 2023.
